As part of the Oregon Historic Theaters project, the University of Oregon’s Community Service Center identified historic theaters across the state and recorded details about the building and owner/operator contact information. The Inventory can then be used to:
- Call attention to our state’s rich cultural resources.
- Distribute relevant information about funding sources and marketing opportunities to theaters.
- Connect theater owners/operators to state tourism professionals.
The final inventory identified 127 total theaters, 74 of which are currently operational.
